The implications of an infraction on a law school application

If I pleaded guilty to an infraction (Disturbing the Peace) is this a ''YES'' to the question: Have you ever been convicted of a crime other than a traffic violation or juvenile offense? I'm trying to apply to law school and I don't understand if this should be disclosed or not? Please help! I want to do the right thing here so as not to jeopardize my chances of getting accepted.

I'd inform the school about the infraction. It ranks right up there with wearing sandels to class. You might have to write a simple explanation about the occurence but I doubt that it'll jepordize your chance of being admitted to law school. However, lying on the form and being discovered, would very possibly harm your chances of being accepted.

You must tell the truth. I would recommend explaining the circumstances of the event to the school and the year that it occured as well. Eventually you will need to pass a moral character examination by the State Bar, and telling the truth has much to do with moral character!!
