Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Informal Probation - Civil Rights

I received a jury summons and am

currently on informal probation. Does

that mean I would be disqualified

because I ''have been convicted of a

felony or malfeasance in office and

my civil rights have not been

restored?'' I am not sure if I have all

of my civil rights due to the informal

probation.

Re: Informal Probation - Civil Rights

Ask your jury commissioner but generally informal probation comes with misdemeanors and they do not disqualify you.

Generally, informal probation which follows a misdemeanor conviction does not disqualify you from anything. If you really want to get out from having to serve on a jury, you might tell the jury people and see if that gets you off the hook.
