Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Can I install a nanny cam in an assisted living facility without posting a notice that a recording is taking place. Can they evict her on the grounds that the company policy does not allow a recording device to be used in the room. This is based on proctecting personel. I have been notified if I install a nanny cam she will be asked to leave. what is my recourse I have had 4 thefts totaling over $2500.00 I have not filed police reports because the head admin. said she would take care of it and I did not want my grandmother involved she is 97 and becomes very anxious and has a serious heart condition.

Thank you, shawna henry

Talk to the administrative head executive and explain that you want the camera installed because of the thefts, that no one should have any problems with it unless they are doing some thing wrong, that she/he still has not done anything about the thefts and otherwise it should be reported to the police, your grandmother does not want to leave the facility and if she is forced out it will appear that it is as a cover up for the thefts.
