interstate compact
my son's father is on interstate compact from id. to ca. due to new
charge he is facing a felony in ca. he has been offered prop 36. can id. parole commissioner deny him prop 36 in ca. and take him back to idaho?

The Idaho parole authorities could use any conviction or arrest in California to violate his parole in Idaho and put him back in prison there. I would look into whether charges in California could be beaten. If yes, then lack of conviction here could be used to fight off any potential parole violation in Idaho. If he needs to take a deal here in California, such as Prop. 36, the effect of such a resolution on the Idaho situation will need to be assessed. Looks like this situation could use a good and effective lawyer.
