Job App Misdemeanor Question
About 21 months ago I was caught and had to go to court for a ticket misdemeanor of posession (pot). I have taken and completed my defferal class and now my record shows dismissed. When applying for a job and asked ''have you been convicted of any misdemeanors.'' What is my response? yes or no? Since I'm having to sign a waiver for a background check. Thanks

Re: Job App Misdemeanor Question
Sounds like you went thru a diversion program and therefore not officially convicted. So you may say you were never convicted of a misdemeanor. However you should know if the background comes back and they see you were arrested for a 11357b charge they may think you lied to them and not give you the job anyway. David Wallin
