Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Joint suspension in one county, have an arrest warrant in another county

I have 5-6 years joint suspension in my county, but have found out there is an arrest warranrt in another county in California by the DA.

Therefore, I am trying to find out if I would be in violation of my joint suspension or are they two separate things that do not conflict with one another because it is in a separate county.

Thank you.

An offense/conviction in another county can be used to violate your probation/joint suspension, unfortunately. You should retain a good attorney where the warrant has been issued to look into the matter as soon as possible and to give it sufficient attention. Perhaps something quick and creative can be done to deal with it and keep it as a completely separate matter. Cannot advise you more without knowing more facts.

If you cannot afford a private lawyer, I would contact the public defender's office where the warrant was issued and I would advise them fully of your situation.
