You can go to the Clerk\'s office at the Hayward Courthouse and ask to be added on to the calendar. If you get there by 8:00 a.m. you may be able to get on the calendar that day. If not, you will be given a piece of paper that says that you have a court date coming up to take care of in case you get stopped in the mean time. This is all assuming it\'s a misdemeanor. If it\'s a felony, you can try to add it on, but you may have to turn yourself in. Most are misdemeanors unless there was some substantial injury. If it\'s a misdemeanor you are likely not to have a bail. You can explain to the court as you did in your question and they are pretty reasonable in Hayward. \n\nGood luck,\n\nElena Condes
