Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Judgement

I was accused by my former employer of stealing 623.00 bucks! I was fired at that time! My former employer threatened to get the cops involved. Well they did! Surprise, surprise!!!!! When I filed for unemployement, the EDD of the state of California judged that I was eligible for unemployment benefits because in their opinion I was fired for mishandling of funds and not embezzlement/theft! If the state of California EDD offices judges mis-handling and my former employer judges theft/embezzlement, who wins in court??????

Re: Judgement

The result if criminal charges are filed by the district attorney and you go to trial will depend upon the facts that are presented to the jury. The EDD judge probably contrued the facts most favorably toward you, as he is required to do, so that you would receive unemployment payments.

Contact an attorney immediately if you have not already. Also do not talk to the police without the advice of an attorney.
