Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

judge's order

Last December, a judge ordered my husband, a commercial fisherman, to complete 15 days of community service. At that time, my husband advised the judge that he would soon be leaving to fish, so the judge stayed any uncompleted days of service. However, this was not included in the judge's order. How do I go about getting an amended order?

Re: judge's order

Your husband or his lawyer must make the application. You cannot appear in court or do any legal work on behalf of your husband. Only an attorney licensed in California can do this for you. If you try to do it on your own, the judge will reject it. It is also a crime to perform any legal work for anyone else if you are not a licensed attorney.
