jury verdicts
If I do not return to the courtroom after recess to hear
the jury's verdict, will the verdict still be valid?

YES and you will be facing a benchwarrant and additional charges for either not following the conditions of yor OR release or terms of your bail. It od also be chaarged as new mismedemanor, failiing to appear in cour as ordered.
