Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
juvenile/ withdraw plea?
My son plead guilty to something he did not do. He served 3weeks and is on sup. realease awaiting his dispo hearing on the 30th. He did not fully understand his rights and was told his best bet would be to take the bargain plea. Is there anything he/we can do?

Re: juvenile/ withdraw plea?
He can sit down with an attorney to explore if he can and should withdraw the plea. While technically he might be able to do so, withdrawal of the plea means he will certainly have to go to trial.
He should explore this option with the lawyer who represented him. If he really wants to withdraw the plea, his lawyer has the duty to help him do it.
