Do misdemeanor charges against a minor get expunged when they turn 18?

Re: juvinile misdemeanor
Nothing happens automatically, but juvenile matters can be SEALED, which is a far better remedy than expungement. If you wish to seal a juvenile matter, there are procedures to follow, forms to file and a hearing to attend. Often, the assistance of a criminal lawyer will be money well spent to accomplish this. If this matter is in or near Los Angeles, and you'd like to speak to me about it, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Expunged is really the wrong term. Minor's records can be sealed when they reach the age of majority (18 yrs). However, the minor generally has to petition the court to have their record sealed.
It is actually much better than an expungement. I would suggest contacting a criminal attorney or a criminal attorney who also deals with a lot of minors and getting some assistance with matter. If you can not find anyone call your local county bar association and get a referral. Good luck
