key witness credibility

key witness in homicide case supposedly terrified of defendant,yet has ample supposed evidence on other crimes that supposedly occured weeks before homicide,yet continues to help with events that lead to homicide. she had plenty of time to go to police while defendant was at work,gone,etc.with plenty of evidence to get defendant arrested,but didnt.is this a credible witness?

At trial, the defendant will have an opportunity to show the jury reasons why they should not believe a witness's testimony. There is no standard test to decide whether a witness is credible, and no way to seek the exclusion of a witness on this ground.

I have seen a number of cases where witnesses were so afraid of the defendant that they did not report his crimes for fear of retalliation. Whether such testimony is credible in a particular case will depend upon the facts of that case. There is no general rule, so there is no way to answer your question with the limited facts you have provided.
