knock-and-announce rule
if the police did not use the knock-and-announce rule
what can happen? is there a possibality of the case being thrown out?

There are exceptions to the knock and announce rule. How do you know they did not knock and announce? Even if they did not knock and announce, it does not mean that the case can be thrown out necessarily.
