Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

new law ,exfelons with knifes

is there any new law that been past about exfelons not allowed to carry a knife on a belt?? also isnt there some due processe when it come to court?? i mean if i am arrested on friday, go to court tuseday, and told if you dont take this deal and lose in trail i will get life and sentenced the the same day to Calif dept of Corrections , is the legal??? Lets be real if you were told this 32 months today , or fight the case and loose in a trail you get 25 yrs to life not a hard desission.... i ask a simular question the other day. but the respond i got there was no answers the the questions ?

Well gee. If you are going to court on Tuesday, it's a little late in the day to hire a lawyer, isn't it? Who is telling you this story about how you supposedly have to take this deal? The DA? The police? The public defender? I guess if you don't have the money to hire a lawyer, see you in 32 months.
