law on a theft

If a felony was commented and the party filed charges,but then agreed to dropped them after the accused made good.Could the DA or police still follow through with the charges?

Yes.

Whether to prosecute is the D.A.'s decision, not the victim's. The D.A. will often be influenced by the victim's preferences but does not have to defer to them.
