A 'free' attorney that may be available to you is the public defender. Qualifying for a public defender is largely based on income. At your arraignment where you are asked to plead guilty or not guilty, the court usually makes an inquiry into your income to determine whether you qualify. If you in fact make a lot like you posted, then you may not qaulify. Try to explain to the court your financial situation. The court may cut you a break, but don't be surprised if it doesn't.

If you don't get the public defender, and the charges are serious enough, it is time to make some tough decisions about which debts aren't getting paid in order to pay for your defense attorney. Consider asking friends and family for a loan as well.

At the end of the day, none of your debts will likey get paid if you are incarcerated for any significant period of time.

Best of Luck!

I doesnt sounds like you will qualify for the Public Defender and FREE criminal defense attorneys are very rare. Borrow the money or find an attorney that my provide some kind of payment plan. Good luck!

If facing criminal charges, and you have no money, you should be eligible for services by a public defender.

Otherwise, I would be wary of hiring "super cheap" private lawyers. You are likely to get what you pay for.
