Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I left my bag in a strangers car who provided me with a ride home after I met him on a hike. I somehow found out his name and got his Facebook. messaged him on Facebook and he agreed to meet up but said he "threw away" a pair of sunglasses and two jackets valued at 300$. He admired throwing them away and taking them. is there anyway I can proceed with this?

If you mean file criminal charges then the answer is no. Criminal charges are filed by the city and district attorneys, not individual citizens.
