My brother is putting the jail for writing the bounce check for buying the car, the police got him and after that he is bill out from the jail, and the punishment is 3 months of jail. After that he did not got to the jail and run away back to Taiwan, because my Dad is sick. For 6 years he did not go back to SFO, today he travel to Seattle for business trip and immigration got him and put him in the jail. He call back to Taiwan and say he will be sending to LA for court. I want to know how long he had to being jail for the situation like that?

Re: Left the country instead go in to the jail

Your brother will be brought to LA for the warrant that was issued when he left the country. He will be facing additional charges of failing to appear as well as the original bad-check charge. He may be deported after he spends time in jail. There are several things that can be done. He definitely needs a lawyer, and I'd be happy to consult with you for free. Call me at 310 393 0639.
