Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Lewd Photos
I meet other people thru on-line personal ads. The sites I use require that you self-certify that you are 18 or older to enter. After I meet someone, I am amazed at the kinds of photos they send me - they actually photograph their genetials and send them to a stranger they have just chatted with via e-mail. I open the e-mail and there are the photos - completely unexpected. Assuming they did not lie about their age when posting their ad on the website, have I done anything wrong when these kinds of pictures show up in my e-mail? I do not request pictures like that.

Why do you assume people aren't lying about their ages? On the internet it is said that men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.
Woe betide you if you get busted with child porn on your machine, you'll be dragged away in handcuffs and you'll still be whining about how you didn't know as your cell door clangs shut.
Have you tried meetup.com?
