Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
loan fraud
My aunt (77) and uncle (89) trust was betrayed by their son and was tricked into signing a loan application with false information stating they would be living on the property and renting out their own home which inflatated their income to secure a refinance and pull equity out. They were not explain the information that the loan application contained nor were they allowed to read the information. Can the son be punished?

Report this to the police and to the Adult Protection Services. There may also be a civil action for elderly abuse.
