Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

how long does it take

We've been wait for 2 years for our case to be heard through a judge, and there's always a cancellation do to either the jailers get first choice to a speedy trial and then there's an excuse of not enough court room or judges to hear the case. This case is under a crimeral case under the first charge of elderly assult, and other charges. This also includes a property ownership. What can be done to get this case heard as soon as possible?

You should be discussing this delay with your attorney. If you do not have an attorney then take advantage of the delay to find and retain an attorney. Your time waiver can be withdrawn. The court then has 10 days in which to bring the matter to trial. However, you should carefully consider the all aspects of your case before taking any action.
