Lude acts on a child

What is the punishment for a conviction on (lude act on a child?) What about childs word against the person to whom accusations are being made? what about innocent until proven gulity?

The punishment for lewd acts on a child can range anywhere from probation to state prison. Also, it is possible that if convicted of such an act the defendant may have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life!
