Can you explain the definition of this code? What does ''annoy/molest children'' mean?

Thank you for your posting. California Penal Code section 647.6(a) states, as follows:
"(a) Every person who annoys or molests any child under the age of 18 shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000), by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by both the fine and imprisonment."
Annoying or molesting in this case means any non-consentual contact that is for purposes of aggravation or sexual gratification.
