What if a person lives in a room of a home, but does not know that another person who lives in a different room/apt has a large quantity (more than an ounce) of pot? Would they be held liable?

A roommate cannot be criminally liable for another roommate's clandestine drug use. Depending upon the evidence, though, the first roommate may appear to be involved. He could be convicted for his own supposed actions.
