Maximum amount of cash you can carry on your person
I want to fly from Michigan to California with a large sum of cash. Is it illegal to have more than a certain amount of cash on me?

Re: Maximum amount of cash you can carry on your person
You can bring as much cash as you like with you, as long as it is legally yours. That you would choose to do so instead of using travelers checks or some other secure substitute for cash suggests that you are planning to spend it on something illegal. If that is the case and if you are caught, the cash can be used as evidence against you.
