Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

The meaning of letter from court where the court orders "Jurisdiction Terminated

Recieved letter from the Superior Court of the State of Calif about my sons sentence. He has been on probation since October 1999 and his probation officer has requested that he be released from probation and we just recieved this letter. In the section that says "The Court Orders" it says: Jurisdiction Terminated and, Review Hearing dated July 14 is vacated. Waht does this mean? Is he released? Please let me know ASAP. Thankyou!

Re: The meaning of letter from court where the court orders

It appears that probation has been terminated, and the July hearing date was canceled. You can verify this by calling his probation officer.
