Minor in possesion of MJ as an adult

I was 17 when they charged me with it.I am now 18 with a legal cannabis perscription.today i got a letter stating my license was now suspended for not completing the program they put me in.Can they punish me for a charge i recieved as a minor?

If you were a minor, and did not have a valid prescription, then yes, you can suffer consequences from that earlier citation or arrest. You may have a probation violation based upon failure to complete a term of your sentence, for which you should consider getting legal help.

You aren't being punished for the possession charge. Instead, your failure to complete the punishment you were given has made you ineligible for your license. The state is entitled to treat people who fail to comply with court orders worse than people who comply fully.

Once you complete your program (and deal with any additional penalties the court might assess for your failure to complete it on time) you should become eligible again.
