Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

misdemeanor assault

I was found guilty by a jury.

But there was no court reporter and the police commited perjury on the stand at least 3 times.

Can I appeal ?

Orange County CA. Superior court

Harbor Justice Center, Newport Beach

My lawyer was NOT aggressive enough. I feel cheated, And the jury only took 1 hour to decide on a late friday afternoon. They just wanted to go home.

Re: misdemeanor assault

Contact an appellate attorney.

Let me tell you something: Orange County is tough, especially in the south county courts. It's a very conservative county, and no one gets away with anything. I have heard that there are L.A. attorneys that refuse to go to O.C. because the jurors are so tough down here. Very conservative, don't give an inch.

Yes there may be many grounds to appeal and also grounds for post-trial motions. You must take immediate action. Strict time limits apply. A motion for a Judgement N.O.V.- to set aside a jury verdict must be made within 10 days with the trial court. Contact me directly. I will take this case.
