misdemener warrant question

if i have a misdemener warrant in a county in the middle of the california coast,would it be safe to say that if i travled to say the northern most part of california and turned myself in that i would walk in 72 hours? in other words they wouldnt spend the time n money to pick me up way up there.

If you travel to a distant county and surrender on the warrant, you can be held for 13 days for the county with the warrant to pick you up. After the issuing county picks you up they will hold you until the issue behind the warrant is taken up. Because you were in a distant county when taken into custody the local da will no doubt ask for a high bail and the court will most likely grant the request.
