Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Misquotes, etc (criminal case 422 PC)
I have discovered that the reporting officer misquoted me and in his report, took things I said out of context and wrote sentences I did not say.
This goes along the lines of the reporting officer writing bad information down for me work, work number, cell number. two days ago I believe itwas, I received a copy of the EPO. It was addressed to me, but sent to the restrained parties address.
how much weight do these ''errors'' hold? I know not much but any? I am working with the defense attorney, and I am the ''alleged victim''
Thank you!

Re: Misquotes, etc (criminal case 422 PC)
If your are the alleged victim, the errors relating to your statements on the police report could potentially be significant. I would not worry about trying to figure out myself just how significant they might be. Advise the defense attorney of your thoughts and let him/her decide what is important and what is not.
