missing a court date

what happens if you went to court and were charged weekend work for a misdemeanor. After the completion of weekend work you miss a follow up court date? A warrant is issued for your arrest, but will you actually have to serve time or will you be forced to pay bail or will they simply set up another courst date once you turn yourself in?

Wide variation depending on the jurisdiction and the specific Court, best to get in to Court, with Counsel, ASAP. The longer the FTA, the more likely the Court would take some punitive action.
