Motion to Strike prior Strike

I am in the process of preparing Motion to strike (Romero). Is there any language I should use for this individual that would help the judge make this decision? the defendant was trying to cash a fraudlent check. He was just trying to provide for his family. Help

Please do not attempt to do this by yourself. Retain a private lawyer or, in the alternative, have an appointed public defender do the motion for you. This needs to be prepared and argued by a professional.

Asking this question in this manner is tantamount to asking "how do I remove my buddy's appendix" on a medical site. The more you understand the answer, the more you realize you need a professional.

Start here: People v. Superior Court (Romero) (1996) 13 Cal.4th 497. Read the case, please realize how complicated and sophisticated this specialized area of law has become, and get your friend a private lawyer with experience in handling three strikes cases or, in the alternative, the public defender's office does very good work in this area.
