Moving

if u r moving to a different state then the one u were in but u got arrested can u still move and have the charges transfer to the new state u r going to live or do u have to stay until they delt with? And how long does it take to get a second court date after a pre- court date?

You cannot transfer charges to another state. You still might be able to move (depending upon the terms of your bail or own recognizance release) but you will need to appear at court hearings.

A lawyer could appear for you if you hire one and the charges are misdemeanors. You have to be in court in person if felony is involved, at least that is the rule in California.
