Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Non payment for services rendered.

I run a limousine service, where I received a call, last minute to do a pick up and drop off 2 passengers

I picked them up and dropped them off as directed and was presented a credit card . Which I accepted in ''good Faith. Went back to the office, card was no good,I provided a service that client refuses to pay for after several phone calls and knocks on the door.(He lives a few miles down the street)If you go into 711 take something without paying for it, ''its against the law''. Well I sell service just like 711 sells goods . dollar for dollar the value is equal.

Is there a law ,''criminal law that was broke that protects ME to where its just like ''robbery'' where I can actually call the police and have them work for me to protect and serve just like 711 if they were to call? I mean all we are actually talking about is a BRAND right? Now follow me here because I feel ''My'' Brand should be just as secure as anyone else's. I actually thought I remembered a law that Really protects me in this situation. Along with protecting my drivers who are actually getting robbed when this happens. So that they know that they can just call the police and according to the law, they Will help. I heard there is case law on such. Thanks.

Re: Non payment for services rendered.

Call the police and file a complaint for theft of service, you could also sue in small claims court.
