Nunc pro tunc vs ex post facto

I need an example of when its applied in a criminal/felony case. Under what circumstances, if any, is either used in regards to charges against an a defendant. Thank you

Nunc pro tunc is a way to correct a record. It edits a prior order or entry to accurately reflect the proceedings or intentions.

Ex post facto means that an action must be illegal when committed in order to be punished. You cannot pass a law to punish something that was legal when it was done.
