Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Offender

A friends son has another young man out there with his same name and birthdate. They look nothing alike and the son lives in California and the other young man lives in Illinois. The problem is that the other young man in Illinois is a registered sex offender. So everytime my friends son tries to take a flight or he happens to get pulled over for something, he ends up getting thrown to the ground and harassed until they figure out he is not the sex offender from Illinois. How can he correct this?

Re: Offender

Get his RAP sheet from the Department of Justice. This means he submits his fingerprints etc. to the Department and they will send back a letter stating whether he has a record or not. He can keep it in his glove box.
