Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
First offense prostitution Program
I was arrested for loitering for the purpose of soliciting acts of prostitution 647 b. The Citation I received had Fresno Municipal Code 8-107 written on it instead of the 647 b. I spoke with a girl who I now believe was an undercover cop. I asked her if she wanted a ride. She then asked me if I could afford $25 for a bj. I told her to get into me car. She wanted me to pick her up around the corner and I told her ''nevermind''. I drove off and was stopped by police and cited. I never had been arrested for this before and was told I could go to First Offense Prostitution Program. I called the number the police left me so I could enroll in the program and they want me to go to the police station and get my citation stamped and be photographed and fingerprinted. It sounds like a good deal to go to the program but I wondered if there is anything I should know about it that may not be so good.
