Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

if an officer ask me when the last time i used do i have to say anything can i just be quiet and not have him start harrassing me about it. Im not on probation or parole. Thanks.

You should not and you do not have to answer any question from a police officer. They cannot arrest for refusing to answer any question. Nor do you have to consent to any search. If an officer asks to search you, you should say "I do not consent." If they search you anyway, do not fight them but call an attorney as soon as possible.
