Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I had a paid prostitution arrangement with a young woman in California -- she would come to my apartment once a week and we would have sex for a few hours, and I would give her $100 each time we met. I had posted an ad online looking for a companion and she responded and we got along very well.
I did something that upset her last week and she cut me off entirely, stopped answering my texts and phone calls, and didn't give me any indication of whether this was a temporary or permanent thing.
In a fit of anger I went onto Facebook and since her profile is public, messaged her sister and her mother describing exactly what I had been doing with her. They didn't respond but I just got an angry text message from the girl saying she was reporting me to the police and that I am going to go to jail.
I know I shouldn't have done what I did but am I in legal trouble?

Yes. I'm stunned by your utter stupidity.
Yes. I don't know if you'll go to jail for this, though you might. But you can expect to be hit with a restraining order, and possibly a civil suit for damages.
I wouldn't say things quite the way Mr. Roach did, but my thoughts are the same as his.
The only thing you could possibly do to make it worse would be to file a law suit for breach of the paid prostitution agreement.
