Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Parents Scerwd

My parents were charged with Child Endangerment,for the last year they've been gioing to court. As of the 23rd 0f july they sentenced my father to 8yrs,and, my mother to 27o days. thier attorneys never did any investigations on thier behalf. It was all one sided. And the judge told them that if they were to fight it that he would give my dad 25yrs. Please help with any legal advice. I would grealy apperciate it.

I am sorry to hear that your parents were sentenced to such long terms. You did not say what the facts of the case were, or whether the attorneys were paid for by your parents or were public defenders. The judge had no business telling your Dad he would get more time if he fought the charges. But without more information it is hard to say what, if anything, can be done. They may have given up the right to appeal by not fighting the charges. Please do write back if you feel there is any way I can be of more help.
