Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
parole law
The police picked me up outside my home for a misdminor warrent and searched my home, in the bedroom was my locked safe, I was the only person with the key to the apt,, the bedroom, and the safe. My husband is on parole and my address was his parole address, but the parole officer never made an inital vist to confirm his address & there has been a restraing order filed on him, , can we both be charged with what was in the safe when i told them before they opened the safe everything in the bedroom including the safe was mine

Re: parole law
The search of your house might have been illegal if the officer did not have reasonable grounds to believe that your husband was residing there. Your best bet is to consult a lawyer to review your situation in detail, even before you are charged with any crime.
