Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I am on parole and I got pulled over for a minor traffic infraction in a vehicle I borrowed from a friend. Because I am on parole the vehicle was searched and a half pound of meth was found under the passengers seat. The person who loaned the car to me is also the one who the drugs belongs to. I hope and pray that they will step up to the plate and do whats right and take responsibility for something I had no knowledge of . What will most likely happen to me if my friend does the right thing?

Hate to say this, but the DA and/or the jury may not believe them... and unless they're willing to admit this under oath and be subject to prosecution for this, their "stepping up" won't do you a thing.
Get the best attorney you can find NOW and hopefully they can get this guy locked into a statement and see how it plays out.
I don't know if the police are going to print or DNA the dope either...
