Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

parolee with 5new felony charges

a freind of mines boyfriend had just been out of custody for only 22 days when he was re-arrested for poss w/intent 2 sell, trafficing,weed. and crack or meth. he was also in poss. of baggies and a scale and also several thousand dollars on him. he also had just bougth another car which was seized also.three days before that the ploice had taken another car he had just bought because he had no drivers lie. proof of insur. or regs. for neither car. He did however had just gotten a large sum of money from a lawsuitand told his girlfriend that the police are holding he money till the case is done with. he is taking the case to trail. the boyfriend also has a prior strike. and told he girl friend that he was looking at maybe 32 years. can he get another strike? will he get his money back? and one more thing, he told her that his brother came from S.F. and got his cars out of impound that he was driving when the police pulled him over and found the droug and everthing in the trunck of the car that he had just bought that day. can his brother just go get the cars without them being his cars or regs. I think that he is lying to her so that she can take care of him while in jail. will he go back to prison for any of these offenses? help!!
