Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
passport info
what should i know before applying for a passport. do they check your criminal background, if warrant is issued? how can i find out if i am ok to fly and get a passport. what are the fees to to find out if i am at risk or not to get passport. please help.

If you are a US citizen, you are entitled to a passport, even if you have a criminal record. However, a criminal court can require you to surrender your passport while you are on probation, etc. If you are neither on parole nor probation, you should have nothing to worry about. If you are, check your papers.
