Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Patronizing a massge clinic....
If a customer visits a massage clinic and gets a legal massage (i.e. no sex services) using a credit card, and months later that clinic is shut down by authorities for offerring illegal services (prostitution), can that customer be prosecuted for simply using the clinic even though they didn't receive sexual services and wasn't aware that the establishment engaged in such activities?

Re: Patronizing a massge clinic....
Such limited evidence wouldn't support a conviction. I doubt that any prosecutor would even try to bring a case without more proof that the customer received sexual services. If the customer is charged, it probably means the D.A. has considerably more evidence than this.
