Are pawn shop owners entitled to restitution from thief who sold stolen jewelry

Usually criminal restitution would be ordered for the direct victim, who had the jewelry stolen in the first place. I can also see, however, how a pawn shop could also become a victim by paying for stolen property that was later seized by police, and being out the money on the pawn ticket.
If you are the pawn shop owner, I suggest speaking to the prosecutor on the case about making a claim for restitution. If all else fails, you would still have a civil action against the thief.
