Do I have to pay my lawyer an advance payment on attorney's fees for the trial to get court ancellary funds for investigators

If you're saying that you hired a private attorney in the trial stage and now your case is going to trial, but you don't have the money to pay the attorney for trial, so how do you get an investigator paid by the court ? If that's your issue, you don't have to pay the attorney money before you get a court-appointed inbvestigator. You will have to file a motion for an appointed PI and sign a declaration, under penalty of perjury, that you don't have funds neccessary to pay for a PI and without one, you can't get a fair trial.
