can i cgo to my court date on a restraining order even though i received an arrest warrant after the date had been set for the hearing.

Go with an attorney and you will probably not get taken into custody.

Yes, you can go to court. If the bailiffs in the courtroom find out you have a warrant you can be arrested. Alternatively, you can turn yourself in on the warrant and bail out so you can appear at the restraining order hearing. However, if the arrest warrant is based on the same activity or even that the restraining order will be addressing you should consult with an attorney about whether you should be testifying under oath about such matters.
