This is a Burglary charge. This means that law enforcement and the District Attorney's office, believe you committed a Burglary. This is a serious charge. You should contact a qualified attorney now. As a Former Deputy District Attorney and a Certified Criminal Specialist, we have handled 100's of these types of cases. Call an attorney and go over all the facts and they can advice you as your best course of action. I wish you well........David Wallin

You're being charged with burglary. They are alleging you entered a structure with the intent to steal or commit a felony inside.

If it's second degree [459/460(b)], it is a "wobbler" and can be either a felony or a misdemeanor. If it is first degree [residential - 459/460(a)], it is a straight felony and a strike.

Either way, You need a good criminal defense attorney. I'd strongly suggest you find someone who focuses on criminal law and who routinely practices in the court where this case will be heard.

It's definitely burglary, but I am surprised you are being notified by mail. Get yourself a criminal defense attorney immediately.
